Week 23: Orchestra unchanged — A glimpse of the darkness which appears to be consuming the world?

Entirely generated in my AE Modular, but with post-production carried out in Logic Pro X. As with week 22, this piece uses a prototype oscillator which is a development of the dr1a 'drone synth' (github.com/minimism/dr1a).

Using all of my patch cables (I really need to get some more); utilising the 16-step sequencer as a generator of percussive clicks as well as controlling the pitch of one of the oscillators. Two separate audio tracks were generated (simultaneously); one with the 'pitched' stuff on it and the other with the percussion track. Inspired by the production on Miles Davis' "Go Ahead John" the percussion track is panned (by automating the auto-panner 'Pancake' by 'Cable Guys') between extreme left and right as the track progresses. Reverb is gradually introduced (Native Instruments' "Raum") to add to the encroaching claustrophobic feel.

Pretty pleased with this one actually. Now to order more patch cables…
