Week 34 — new stuff

* Novation Super Bass Station
* Korg Wavestation A/D
* Roland TR-808

After about 20 years of wanting one, I finally bought a Korg Wavestation A/D a couple of weeks ago. It's one of those iconic synthesisers that I just always thought would be interesting… time will tell I suppose (I already replaced the backlight!). Alongside that for this week is a Novation Super Bass Station which I repaired a few months back but has been on the shelf ever since. Bringing up the rear is the venerable TR-808; this whole setup could not be more 90s :)

Not sure whether I'm happy with this one or not, I spent a lot of time trying to diagnose MIDI problems which turned out to be the MIDI interface I bought last month (new). So that's going back.

More playing with the instruments is needed, so they may see a return next week or perhaps it'll be back to weird noises again.
