Week 51 sees a change of scene…

Last night I performed live, in a venue, in front of a (seated) audience for the first time since February — supporting the headliners, local band Soma Crew.

This was my first gig with the AE Modular (purchased in April), so I was a little concerned about patch wires falling out etc. in the journey from home to the gig… but it all turned out Ok in the end.

This is the same patch as I used for the recent Chapel FM performance, but sounded so totally different in the venue; the high volume of the PA made me choose a more stripped down/minimal presentation I think. I'm so used to being able to hear clearly at home (I wear earplugs when playing live and that obviously affects my audio perception), and the room/PA seemed really resonant at certain frequencies.

Still, it was great to play out — and to get paid was a massively welcome bonus!
