about

Well, this one is a bit random. No idea what I was thinking when I started up Reaktor and started (almost at random) connecting stuff up. This ensemble uses the audio input through a delay line to modulate the current audio output (which is a randomly-triggered 'ping'). Of course, with the laptop, the input mics pick up the output sounds and so modulate the output again (hence the delay on the audio input. Feedback is fun and all, but not quite what I was intending here). There are also a delay line on the output (delay modulated by audio amplitude) and pitch is also modulated by the audio input. Also typing on the laptop keys, speaking and brushing/tapping the case also modulates the sound…

It's actually not a complex ensemble!

I then brought the generated file into Tracktion and added a small (Massive) drone to counterbalance the crunchiness of the Reaktor output.
