Further explorations with Reaktor; this time — rather than synthesising the sound — I wrote an effect which randomly records snippets of an audio signal, layering them into a loop-buffer. The end result is predictable (in a way) but will depend upon the input sound source, and the continually varying random triggers. Left and right channels are triggered separately, so there are some interesting spatial effects going on.

Once more, the Reaktor ensemble is shown in the artwork.

The original sound source for this track was the field recording of February 4th…
